Form & space exploration

This project was a continuation from Architectural Design Studies (ADS), where I had done case studies on architect I.M Pei's works.

 

This focus was to explore and create architectural forms of I.M Pei's design philosophies.

Two main takeaways I had from I.M Pei's works was the sharp geometrical shapes that he often uses, and how this has an optical illusion effect when viewing the architecture from different perspectives. On some angles, the architecture looks like it is a 2D plane. Hence, this was my main intention when I built this I.M Pei inspried model.
